On September 11-13, we had the opportunity to attend PACK EXPO Las Vegas, where we exhibited our Ieading accumulation systems and connected with so many of you who attended.
The packaging industry event was organized by PMMI and featured more than 2,300 exhibitors representing 40 vertical markets for tens of thousands of attendees eager to see the latest innovations and solutions to support their manufacturing needs.
With so much to see and experience, it would be impossible to capture everything, but here are a few of our PACK EXPO Las Vegas highlights:
Garvey and Dorner Partner for a Combined Showcase
Two of Columbus McKinnon’s brands, Garvey and Dorner, came together to demonstrate innovative ways to improve material flow and increase throughput, including showcasing our first joint venture, the AquaGard GT System.
- The AquaGard GT system combines our GT series conveyors with Dorner’s AquaGard 7100 to enable continuous product flow through accumulation, eliminating bottlenecks and minimizing downtime to increase throughput.
- It is built with premium materials for easy wipedown and sanitation compliance and is pre-engineered so it can be integrated into existing lines quickly.
We were pumped to demonstrate our joint conveyor system at PACK EXPO for the first time, and the response was very positive. In addition to the AquaGard GT, we exhibited our Infinity™ and BiFlo™ accumulation systems and other advanced technologies designed to help manufacturers enhance productivity.
Automation and Sustainability Were Heavily Featured across PACK EXPO
The one thing you learn quickly at PACK EXPO is that attendees come for so many different reasons, which allowed us to take the pulse of the industry.
With thousands of suppliers available and dozens of experts presenting across the three-day event, there was something for everyone. However, automation and sustainability were the stars of the show.
We saw advanced automated technologies for every step of the packaging process, new materials to support those automated systems, and IoT solutions to connect everything.
Sustainability Central included demonstrations and presentations on reusable packaging materials, labeling best practices, machinery that supports sustainability, and much more.
Throughout the three-day event, we spoke with attendees interested in various ways to increase productivity and efficiency, lower their energy use, and meet customer preferences for packaging.
Show attendees could vote on their favorite technologies and innovations on the show floor, and the winners were announced here.
It’s Not Too Late to Connect
Although we said goodbye to PACK EXPO Las Vegas, we are gearing up for upcoming events, including PACK EXPO East Philadelphia, in March 2024.
Plus, our Sales Engineers are always consulting. Our complementary line analysis can help you identify ways to increase throughput through accumulation by determining the constraint on your line.
If you have any questions or are interested in our state-of-the-art equipment, including our new AquaGard GT collaboration with Dorner, please get in touch.
Thank you to everyone who attended, exhibited, or helped organize PACK EXPO Las Vegas, and we look forward to returning next year.
