Customer Challenge

The customer was looking for a buffer between systems as well as a way to orient product out into multiple single file lanes without back pressure.

Description of Function

Because of the fragile nature of food and in this case Pies, orientation and minimal back pressure is extremely important on the product when running at high speeds. With our 3D G5 Series Infinity™ Accumulation Table #1 we are able to accumulate 4,617 – 1oz. pies for 13.6 min. and 2,309 – 2oz. pies for 6.8 min. without back pressure and with the added ability to simultaneously achieve orientation. Pies will accumulate around the table just as they would in our Infinity™ Accumulation Table but at the pick off points for the outfeed lanes if pies are not oriented correctly in a single file pattern, they will simply fall down the chute and loop around to try again. Clustering of pies is minimized by the addition of a Back Pressure Relief Guide Rail with a Scoop Plow pick off point that will separate the pies from before reaching the outfeed lanes. This 3D Accumulation Table will infeed pies at 340 PPM and will have 2 discrete outfeed systems that will outfeed pies at 200 PPM each. If pies do not make it out the first outfeed they will fall to the second outfeed and any that do not make it through the second outfeed will loop around and try again.
